Lodwar, Kakuma and Kalemngorok...
Recently Ken had the opportunity to travel to the far Northwest area of Kenya- this area called Turkana is very remote. But it was great to fellowship with the churches there. I met with a couple of Kenyan pastors there and together we traveled around the region visiting and encouraging the churches. Kakuma is a refugee camp, made up of thousands of folks from many different African countries who have fled their homes in seek of refuge. Within this huge camp- we have two different Free Methodist congregations- one is mostly folks from South Sudan, while the other is made up mostly of folks from the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was a real blessing to witness 7 baptisms and 5 baby dedications there.
We also showed the Jesus film on several different nights while there and had really good turn-outs and many folks praying together after the films. We left two audio Bibles with pastors in Lodwar and Kelemngorok for them to use to follow-up and to use in their teaching.
