Fajardo Family Missionary Journey

Spring in Full Swing...

Greetings from Spain!..
Josh & Susy Missionaries to Spain. Scripture to Ponder:  For the law never made anything perfect. But now we have confidence in a better hope, through which we draw near to God. (Hebrews 7:19 NLT)

Gathering of SetFree leaders in Madrid.
In late February European SetFree leaders gathered in Madrid for a time of sharing and strategizing. Each leader focuses on a specific area of Human trafficking. Networks and alliances are being established throughout Europe. Our time together focused on prayer and discussing how will the FMC respond in Europe. Those present; Chance and Dee Dee Galloway (Bulgaria); Kali Long (Greece), and Ildikó Kober (Hungary).

In February Josh and Susy visited the Island of Lanzarote (Canary Islands). We gathered for planning and encouraging our leaders there. Most of our time was spent on planning the tenth anniversary of the FMC in Spain. We are planning a national conference and celebration for October 28-30th, 2016. Josh was invited to preach at our newest house church in the city centre of Arrecife. Pr. Kevin Cortes leads this house church. He is also one of our bible students. The group has grown and they are now looking for a larger space to meet. Praise the Lord!

Combined Service during Holy Week.
Churches from Lanzarote and Fuerteventura gathered for a combined service on Resurrection Sunday. They met in Fuerteventura. Josh shared about the Jewish passover meal, communion and the significance of Jesus as he shared the last supper with His disciples. After the service we had a typical Spanish meal (Paella) and fellowship.
At the end of the service we prayed for our new member and future house church planter, Alberto Cabrera. In June we have plans to start a new house church on the Island of Grand Canary. This is the main island and largest of the seven islands.

Women's Prayer Conference in Madrid...
We had representation from Canary Islands, Portugal, Hungry, US and our own church in Rivas, a total of 35 women.

Under the theme "Acerquémonos” (“Draw Near”) they started Friday night with Lori Glossenger (right) teaching about keeping a prayer journal. She used the book of Habakkuk and Revelations to talk about moments in time when God told his servants to write things down.
Saturday morning workshop with Katie Winckles, Missionary in Hungary (Lower). She shared about three personal turning points in the past 16 years of her own soul care journey, ending with the ideas from chapter 6 of Dirk's book “Forming the Leader’s soul” (An invitation to spiritual formation) and ways to discern our motivations when we pray. Missionary Cindi Angelo from Portugal closed the conference on Sunday morning. (right).
Prayer Journey...
Upon completion of the Women's prayer conference, a small group continued on a prayer journey. We had participants from Illinois (Mark and Karen Whitlock), New York (Kayla Chappel) and Pennsylvania (Lori Glossenger and Cathy Holland).
We visited Madrid, Toledo, Córdoba, Sevilla, Malaga and Granada in six days. We prayed and learned about the history and culture of the cities, as well as the spiritual climate and challenges facing the local believers. We visited a ministry in Malaga the broadcasts the gospel message to the Middle east and North Africa, as well as in Spain. Thank you for partnering and praying with us!

Contingent on having raised the necessary financial support, José and Ada’s anticipate leaving for the field August 2016.
