News from Greece

Josh and Susy joined Mike Long (missionary in Thessaloniki Greece) on a Refugee vision trip. Josh helped lead a team of 20 pastors and leaders from the U.S. to bring awareness of the refugee crisis and the impact it is having in Europe, primarily Greece. Our church in Thessaloniki is responding by providing showers, clothing, haircuts and child care to refugees living in nearby camps.
It is unfortunate this crisis is stirring up nationalism and fear in many europeans. The message of fear is part of the daily discussions. Refugees are seen as a threat in many levels. Having talked with several refugees, they shared their own fears and experiences. All those we spoke with would have liked to stay in their home country. We believe this is an excellent opportunity for the church to show love and compassion. We are starting to see changed lives in our church in Thessaloniki.

 News from Portugal.

We celebrate with our leaders our newest church plant in Portugal. Pastors Eduardo and Cindi Angelo are leading this new church plant in the city of Lisbon, the capital and the largest city of Portugal, with a population of 552,700. About 2.8 million people live in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. Pray for this new initiative. There are many needs in the city and the church is responding with the good news!

News from Spain

The students will also participate on a missions program in October in Lanzarote (Canary Islands). We pray their immersion in Spain will be an enriching time academically, as well as spiritually.
