Addition, Multiplication, and Division
Quick math quiz: if you start with the number two, and add two to it, what do you get? Now, what if you multiply two times two? Same answer, right? Well done!

What if you repeat that pattern: addition versus squaring? Now the numbers are different. If you repeat the original pattern just three times, you have eight by addition and 256 by multiplication. Amazing, isn't it?

I thought of this recently with reference to the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5000 (men, plus their families) and 4000. ... Read More
This year's giving guide, for hope, joy, and generosity!
The 2016 ICCM & SEED Giving Guide!

We are tremendously excited about this year's SEED/ICCM Giving Guide. It's our fifth annual catalog, and it's become a favorite of many who like to give gifts that mean something -- to the giver, the US recipient, and the artisan or international recipient! What an opportunity to multiply your generosity this year. You can view the guide online here or email us if you want a hard copy delivered to your home or other location. Many have already started making donations and placing orders: we're excited to receive yours!

Uruguay Mission District Leader Ricardo Guerrero shares the vision for income development and church planting.
SEED Capital - Uruguay

We are glad to present our main Latin America SEED Capital focus for Christmas. The Free Methodist Church in Uruguay has developed a terrific strategy that will further income development and church planting. View the video here or by clicking the image to the left to learn more about the plan they have and the challenge that you can help meet. For $7,000 the group can fully fit out a polleria -- a storefront chicken mini-restaurant -- that will provide income for a pastoral family and others in the church, and be used to help launch more businesses and churches.
SEED's growing family of partners

Things continue to move forward well and quickly for SEED. We wanted to share a few people-related updates with you:
  • Staff: Rose Brewer has now assumed overall leadership for SEED. She will continue to work with artisan livelihood groups as well as strategic planning for SEED's overall vision. David Brewer has changed roles to Manager of Network Relations, focusing on building and supporting our network of Champions, connecting with colleges and universities, and collaborating with strategic partners like ICCM, Set Free Movement, and others. Scott Gibbons continues as Administrator, overseeing day-to-day operations and relations with volunteers, hosts, and customers.

  • Contractors: we are grateful for a generous donor who provided funds for us to contract with Nicole Kennelly to manage our communications, promotion, and branding through 2017. We would love to contract with Nicole one more day a week; if you're interested in this capacity building opportunity, please contact us or donate here.

  • Champions: our Champion network continues to grow. We are working with Champions who are: helping spearhead our college/university outreach; helping revamp the way we connect with and support new Champions; helping expand our connections with Spanish-speaking audiences and livelihood groups; and helping us evaluate our sales and distribution models. What a team!

What are we celebrating this month?  Four new livelihood group partners! In addition to the SEED Capital effort with Uruguay, we have started carrying products from groups in Jordan, Greece, and the Canary Islands. These are terrific opportunities to come alongside refugees, women escaping human trafficking situations, and others with good skills but challenging circumstancesWe continue to be grateful for chances to partner with such amazing groups!
